The 150th anniversary of the Alpini in Naples
With the overflight of the Tricolour Arrows over Piazza del Plebiscito and Piazza Municipio - in front of the headquarters of the "United States of the World" in Naples - the ceremony to mark the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Alpine corps, which was established in Naples in 1872, came to a close.
To wish the black pens in service and those who, after leaving the service, are still active with the National Alpine Association, the Chief of Defence Staff, Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, arrived in Naples today. During his greeting, he recalled that he was the son of an Alpine soldier and the father of an Alpine officer.
Secretary General Michele Capasso recalled the closeness of the Alpini since 1990 and their support for the ideals of the "United States of the World".
