The Secretary General represents the "United States of the World" and coordinates initiatives within the 20 main areas of action and in compliance with the aims contained in the "Constitution of the United States of the World".
The Secretary General is assisted by board of directors, the International Committee and the Permanent Commissions of the thematic areas. Since 1992, the following General Secretaries have succeeded one another:
