On 12 October 1991 a meeting of the International Executive Committee of the 'United States of the World' was held at the Italian Institute for Philosophical Studies in Naples.
On this occasion, under the chairmanship of the president, Gerardo Marotta, and with the participation of illustrious members of the "United States of the World" - from Predrag Matvejevic' to Khaked Fouad Allam, from Umberto Eco to Nullo Minissi, from Nedim Gursel to Ahmed Jebli, from Tom Cox to Izet Sarajlic', from Igor Man to Luciana Stegagno Picchio - the main aims of the "United States of the World" were defined.
