cultural heritage
Humanity must protect the inestimable wealth of the cultural heritage it has inherited: the SUM has been working since 1990 in various countries to ensure that it is protected, restored and preserved in order to pass it on to young people ...
Among the main actions undertaken since the "Naples Forum on Cultural Heritage" (1997) there are numerous initiatives, activated with the SUM network, aimed at protecting the "cultural heritage of mankind" - consisting of natural resources, landscapes and transformations that the succession of civilisations has produced in the past and will produce in the future - which affirms continuity, but is simultaneously rich in discontinuity: hence the individual and collective duty to assess every action of habitat transformation or construction in its consequences on "environment", "landscapes" and "cultural stratifications".
Below are some of the most significant actions.
