In 1997 the Flag of the "United States of the World" was chosen and adopted, consisting of the "Totem for Peace" with the acronym SUM ...
It was the 2248 participants in the "Civil Forum" - among them many Heads of State and Government of over 60 countries - who adopted the sketch prepared by the Turin sculptor Mario Molinari, consisting of the symbol of the United States of the World in the centre (the "Totem for Peace" created by Molinari himself) and on the two sides, against a background of two shades of green already indicated by Gustavo Rol, two high-definition planispheres taken from space from an angle from which it is possible to identify all the countries of the world.
Since then, the flag has been spreading all over the world.
