The Dominican Republic is the 182nd country to join the United States of the World

In a ceremony held at the Naples headquarters of the United States of the World, it was agreed that the Dominican Republic would join the United States of the World, making it the 182nd country to have joined since 1987, the year the international body began its activities.
On this occasion, Julio Cesar Garden Regalado, the representative in Italy of INDEX - the Institute of Dominicans and Dominican Women Abroad - handed over the official flag of the Dominican Republic, recounting its fascinating history: the colours, the cross, the Bible inside, and so on.
Secretary General Michele Capasso was delighted with the pride and sense of belonging of the Dominican Republic's inhabitants and invited President Luis Abinader to visit the headquarters in Naples.
On this occasion, he presented the official flag of the United States of the World, receiving objects representative of the Caribbean country that will enrich the Museum of Peace.
