Said Margoul was awarded the title "United States Ambassador of the World" in memoriam

In a simple ceremony, the title of "Ambassador of the United States of the World" was awarded to the memory of Said Margoul.
His wife Zahra and daughter Sarrah collected the award from the hands of Secretary General Michele Capasso and Dr. Pia Molinari.
The occasion was a review of 25 years of friendship and collaboration with Said and his commitment to the "United States of the World".

The “Chaire Averroes” restart: SUM-UCA convention signed

The Secretary General Prof. Michele Capasso and the President of Cadi Ayyad University Prof. Moulay Lhassan Hbid have signed a framework agreement which, among other things, provides for the relaunch of the "Chaire Averroes", established in 1999.
The Chaire will be entitled "Chaire UNESCO-UNITED STATES OF THE WORLD 'Averroes' for the Earth and for the Peace".
The ensemble of 115,000 students and over 3,000 teachers will be involved in a programme of concrete activities in support of the main actions of the 'United States of the World' such as: ecological conversion, digitalisation, intercultural and interreligious dialogue, globalisation and tradition, ethics and aesthetics, etc.

Visit to the Association le Grand Atlas

Secretary General Prof. Michele Capasso and Dr. Pia Molinari visited the home for poor students built by the Association le Grand Atlas (AGA) in Marrakech, a "founding member" of the "United States of the World", chaired by Prof. Mohamed Knidiri
The "House of Hospitality" was inaugurated by King Mohammed VI and represents excellence within the framework of the actions of the "United States of the World".
Prof. Capasso, moved, congratulated Prof. Knidiri, to whom he is linked by deep fraternal friendship.
On this occasion, he recalled the many initiatives carried out by the AGA within the framework of the "United States of the World":

  • Sports and Socio-Cultural Activities at Dar Talib.
  • Socio-Cultural Activities at the Women's Education and Training Centre.
  • Home for 400 poor students.
  • Festival of young singing and music talents.
  • Medical caravans in rural areas.
  • Folk Music Festival.

Professor Mohamed Knidiri spoke at length about the significant work of the Grand Atlas Association for the United States of the World. 
Head of the "Chaire Averroè of Mediterranean Studies" of the "United States of the World" since 2001, prof. Knidiri has always been at the service of the Moroccan nation and its numerous international collaborations, in a fervent commitment based on national social and humanistic values, such as the sense of general and collective interest in the actions carried out on the difficulties of students but also of citizens through the numerous social actions of the Grand Atlas Association (AGA): a very flexible volunteerism, open to the conquest of knowledge and contributing to the innovation of all scientific research, always expanding the perimeter of its many socio-cultural and academic activities at an international international level.

The Grand Atlas Association founding member of the "United States of the World"

The Association le Grand Atlas (AGA) in Marrakech, chaired by Prof. Mohamed Knidiri, joined the "United States of the World" as a "founding member" by ratifying the 'Constitution'.
The AGA has been an active member of the SUM NETWORK since 1998 and has organised, within the areas of action of the "United States of the World", multiple initiatives such as:

  •     Sports and Socio-Cultural Activities at Dar Talib.
  •     Socio-Cultural activities at the Women's Education and Training Centre.
  •     Home for 400 poor students.
  •     Festival of young singing and music talents.
  •     Medical caravans in rural areas.
  •     Folk Music Festival.

On this occasion, Professor Mohamed Knidiri spoke at length about the "significant work done by the Grand Atlas Association for the United States of the World".
In charge of the "Chaire Averroè of Mediterranean Studies" of the 'United States of the World' since 2001, this emeritus professor, a fine pedagogue, is first and foremost a great chemist and a great leader of success and hope for all, always at the service of the Moroccan nation and its numerous international collaborations, in a fervent commitment based on national social and humanistic values, such as the sense of general and collective interest in the actions carried out on the difficulties of students but also of citizens through the numerous social actions of the Grand Atlas Association (AGA).
A very flexible volunteerism, open to the conquest of knowledge and contributing to the innovation of all scientific research, always widening the scope of its many socio-cultural and academic activities at an international level.

Cadi Ayyad University becomes the branch office of the "United States of the World"

Cadi Ayyad University (UCA) of Marrakech was chosen, on Wednesday, to host the branch office of both the Mediterranean Academy and the United States of the World for the southern shore of the Mediterranean.
During a solemn ceremony, held at the presidency of the UCA in the presence of a host of academics, researchers, experts and students, the plaque and flag of the Academy of the Mediterranean and the United States of the World were affixed at the entrance of the rectorate of the UCA, which has been the headquarters since 2000 of the Academy of the Mediterranean, which became an autonomous section of the "United States of the World" from 2022.
"The new plaque at the entrance to the presidency and the presentation of the official flag of the United States of the World are evidence of the commitment of our institution to international cooperation and the promotion of peace in the world," stressed the president of Cadi Ayyad University (UCA), Prof. Moulay El Hassan Hbid.
Affirming that this ceremony "marks an important step in our collaboration with the United States of the World Foundation", he indicated that UCA "is taking a new step in its collaboration by becoming the headquarters of the United States of the World. This is a responsibility we take very seriously, and we are committed to working with the Foundation to promote international cooperation, education, research and innovation, in the interest of peace and the well-being of all the world's people.
Prof. Hhbid said he was deeply honoured and proud of this award, which "represents a huge responsibility that encourages me to redouble my efforts to further contribute to the advancement of our university and the promotion of international cooperation".
For his part, prof. Michele Capasso, Secretary General of the "United States of the World" and Director General of the Mediterranean Academy, and Mrs. Pia Molinari, President of the Governing Board, noted that this is a "historic" day, which marks the realization of a dream cherished since 1988 in Marrakech, for the establishment of a headquarters of the Academy of the Mediterranean and the United States of the World, which has 181 member countries and 16,000 institutions and civil society organizations.
