The Statute has been signed by personali-ties and organisations that support the fundamental values of African countries and constitutes the reference body for the United States of Africa.
There are many aid programmes for the poor populations of the African continent, together with those for literacy and the development of rural economies.
The aim is to transform the utopia of an African Union for a single state - with a single African armed force, a single currency and a passport to allow Africans to move freely throughout the continent - into a confederation of states capable of combining the defence of human rights with a shared development of the territory and the consequent fair distribution of resources.
