Concert for Peace in Ukraine "Fratelli Tutti"

The Fondazione Mediterraneo and the United States of the World (SUM) collaborated on the "Concert for Peace" dedicated to the victims in Ukraine dedicated to the encyclical “FRATELLI TUTTI”.
The event took place at the Maria Ausiliatrice Institute in Vomero (Naples) presented by Veronica Maya. The students of the Conservatory of San Pietro a Majella in Naples conducted by Maestro Leonardo Quadrini performed.
On this occasion, the Secretary General of the United States of the World, Michele Capasso, presented the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians and the students of the Conservatory with a SUM flag, playing the SUM anthem composed by Maestro Marco Betta.

On the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the Italian Republic, the "United States of the World" hosted various events at its headquarters in Naples.
Many members from various countries paid tribute to the Italian Republic, guardian of the values of democracy, freedom and social justice.

Study seminar "Land. Not War."

A presentation of Carmine Nardone's book "Earth. Not War." Numerous guests and speakers followed after the introductory talk by Carmine Nardone, president of Futuridea, on the topic of the importance of agriculture and the food issue in a world ravaged by wars, growing poverty and pandemics.
Architect Massimo Pica Ciamarra addressed the need to talk about ecological conversion, rather than transition.
Nando Morra, journalist, called for a new political paradigm.
Francesco Saverio Coppola, AIM coordinator, reiterated a new idea of the South against the dominant idea that sees the South only as an energy hub.
Jurist Tammaro Chiacchio dwelt on the need for a new social protagonism under the banner of solidarity.
Finally, the conclusions of Michele Capasso, Secretary General of the United States of the World, and Gianfranco Nappi, director of Infiniti Mondi, who urged and hoped for a new aggregation capable of affecting the great issues that invest the future of mankind and the planet: the United States of the World since 1989 is now more indispensable than ever for the salvation of the planet.

30th anniversary of the Capaci massacre

The "United States of the World", with the coordination of network members such as the FONDAZIONE CAPONNETTO and the FONDAZIONE MEDITERRANEO, celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Capaci massacre in which judge Giovanni Falcone, his wife Francesca Morvillo and escort agents Antonio Montinaro, Rocco Di Cillo and Vito Schifani were murdered by the Mafia.
Falcone was the man who, with the contribution of dozens of collaborators starting with Tommaso Buscetta, reconstructed the military and top-down structure of the Mafia, identified the perpetrators and instigators of the great slaughter in Palermo, and widened the mesh of relations between Cosa Nostra and power. With Paolo Borsellino and the other members of Antonino Caponnetto's pool, he set up the maxi-trial and sent an army of 474 defendants to trial.
In those years, the pool focused on a new investigative method that leveraged the search for mafia money and assets, the terrain in which hierarchies were formed and alliances and new interests were welded.
On this occasion, young people in various parts of Italy and around the world joined together to say 'NO!' to mafias and wars.
