A ceremony was held at the Farnesina to designate Moez Eddine Sinaoui, Ambassador of Tunisia to Italy, as "Ambassador of the United States of the World".
The award was presented by Senator Stefania Craxi, President of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Senate of the Italian Republic, and Prof. Michele Capasso, Secretary General of the United States of the World.
Present at the ceremony were:

• Inigo Lambertini, Ambassador - Head of the Diplomatic Ceremonial of the Republic;
• Manuela Ruosi, Head of Office I of the Diplomatic Ceremonial of the Republic;
• Abdelkrim Touahria, Algerian Ambassador to Italy;
• Enas Mekkaury, Head of the Mission of the League of Arab States in Italy;
• Alfredo Conte, Minister Plenipotentiary - Central Director for Mediterranean and Middle Eastern Countries;
• Raimondo De Cardona, former Italian Ambassador to Tunisia;
• Fabrizio Saggio, Italian Ambassador to Tunisia;
• Leila El Houssi, Professor of African History - University "La Sapienza";
• Gualsiero Zamperini, Consul of Tunisia in Florence.

Secretary General Capasso emphasised Ambassador Sinaoui's role in supporting the aims and actions of the "United States of the World", especially at this difficult time in human history.

There was great emotion during the beatification ceremony of Albino Luciani, Pope Giovanni Paolo I° for only 34 days, who traced a deep furrow of humility and charity in the Church.
Secretary General Prof. Michele Capasso, present at the ceremony, expressed the sympathy of all the members of the "United States of the World" towards a personality who laid the foundations for a Church founded on solidarity and fraternity.
Much appreciated was the "private" presence of President Mattarella, who wished to honour not only the Pope but a great Italian, both cultured and humble at the same time: the last Italian Pope.
A great lesson in humility from a man who was always smiling, cultured and humble as only the great know how to be.
On 26 August each year, he will be celebrated by the Catholic Church.

More than 1,000 representatives of Italian civil society gathered in the 'Anna Lindh Federation Italy' reconfirmed their support and participation in the "United States of the World", expressing full support for the motto "EARTH AND PEACE".

From New York to Buenos Aires, from Rabat to Nairobi, from Cairo to Jerusalem, from Athens to Istanbul, from Tokyo to Manila, from Naples to Brussels, from Rome to Pescasseroli, and so on, the flag of the 'United States of the World' - adopted in 1997 - spreads as a symbol of the principles and values of the 'United States of the World' summarised in the words "EARTH AND PEACE".
