In 1996, the United States of the World and the Fondazione Mediterraneo established the Mediterranean Awards (with various categories) that are granted every year to eminent personalities from the worlds of arts and culture, politics and science and social disciplines, whose actions have contributed to reducing tensions, breaking down cultural barriers and developing shared values in the Greater Mediterranean.
This Award is considered one of the most prestigious acknowledgements in the world.

Françoise Atlan receives the Mediterranean Award

During a ceremony held at the Euromed University of Fez, the "Mediterranean Award Art and Creativity 2024" was awarded to Françoise Atlan, singer and artist.
The Prize - the work "Totem for Peace’" by sculptor Mario Molinari, symbol of the United States of the World - was presented by Secretary General Prof. Michele Capasso, in the presence of Pia Molinari, ambassadors from various countries and members of the United States of the World.
Present in the hall were over two thousand students from the Euromed University of Fez.

Miguel Angel Moratinos receives the Mediterranean Award

During a ceremony held at the premises of the Euromed University of Fez, the "Mediterranean Institutions 2024 Award" was presented to Miguel Angel Moratinos, United Nations High Representative for the Alliance of Civilisations (UNAOC).
The Award - the work "Totem for Peace" by sculptor Mario Molinari, symbol of the United States of the World - was presented by Secretary General Prof. Michele Capasso, in the presence of Pia Molinari, ambassadors from various countries and members of the United States of the World.
Present in the hall were over two thousand students from the Euromed University of Fez.
Miguel Angel Moratinos sent a note of thanks to Prof. Michele Capasso.

Prof. Carlo Foresta receives the Mediterranean Award for Science and Research

Professor Carlo Foresta received the "Mediterranean Award for Science and Research 2024". 
The ceremony took place at the Parthenope University in Naples in the presence of doctors, experts and political and institutional authorities.
Secretary-General Michele Capasso emphasised Prof. Foresta's profound humanity and expertise, especially in protecting against pollution that causes serious pathologies.
The award was presented as part of the event organised by Dr Fabio Perricone.
