On the occasion of the 70th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the 30th Anniversary of the Mediterranean Foundation, the International Committee has deliberated the award of the Mediterranean Award 2018 in favor of all the Israeli poets engaged in the promotion of a culture of peace.
The award will be presented in Israel during an important event.

No other art form communicates L. Ron Hubbard's personal view of the world as do his poems and words, as he wrote verse throughout his life. In his youth and New York years as well as during his travels at sea his quest soared to higher spiritual states. Through the work Declaration of Peace, L. Ron Hubbard shouted to the world his call for a dream of Peace on this planet and through the International City project - to be established in North Africa - he offered a vision of Peace among nations. The Friends of L. Ron Hubbard Foundation, building on what L. Ron Hubbard desired and did in his lifetime for budding writers and poets, established the "Friends of L. Ron Hubbard Poetry Prize," bringing together and dialoguing with hundreds of poets from around the world, nurturing the inspirations of free spirits.
