This award, proposed by Monsignor Fouad Twal, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, is granted to Israeli and Palestinian mothers who lost one or more members of their family because of the ongoing war and do not seek revenge, wishing to commit themselves for peace and a better future.

NATIONAL ORGANISATION FOR CHILDREN IN TUNISIA - 2013
TUNISIA
Founded on 21 May 1948, the Organisation Nationale de l'Enfance Tunisienne has enabled thousands of Tunisian children, especially from poor families, to benefit from support and recreational activities throughout the year.
Initiator of Municipal Councils for Children and promoter of the establishment of the Children's Parliament in Tunisia, ONET has forged friendship links with various associations for children, youth and culture in Mediterranean and European countries.
A member of the United Nations Economic and Social Council, ONET defends children's rights in national and international fora.

For her action in defence of children’s rights and, in general, for her commitment in favour of abandoned children. President of the Observatoire National des Droits de l’Enfant (ONDE) and reference point for UNICEF both in Morocco and across the World, she has made every effort for children’s education, saying that “it is not quite important which kind of world we are leaving to our children, but rather which children we are leaving to this world”.
