80th Anniversary of the eruption of Vesuvius

Great crowds at the United States of the World and the MAMT Peace Museum for the 80th anniversary celebrations of the eruption of Vesuvius. On the large video walls, unique videos, testimonies and images appeared that excited the young people in particular.
The museum section dedicated to Raffaele Capasso, Mayor of San Sebastiano al Vesuvio's reconstruction for almost 40 years, was particularly visited.
On this occasion, the updated edition of the volume "Vesuvio l’ultima eruzione" was presented.
The Secretary-General Michele Capasso, moved, told the young people what happened at 4.30 p.m. on 18 March 1944 when the last eruption of the volcano began, ending eleven days later.

Anna Guardabascio and Leonella Zara Standard Bearers of the United States of the World

Anna Guardabascio and Leonella Zara were named "Standard Bearers of the United States of the World".
At a ceremony, Secretary-General Michele Capasso recalled the long-standing collaboration of Anna Guardabascio and Leonella Zara since 1994 and, in particular, at the 2 Forums in Naples in 1997 and 2003 that laid the foundations for the establishment of the United States of the World.

International Women's Day

The United States of the World wanted to celebrate 'International Women's Day' by dedicating it to the innocent victims of wars around the world: in Ukraine, Israel, Palestine, Sudan, Yemen and so on for a long list. 
Throughout the day, the 107 large video screens in the Peace Museum projected images of women victims of wars whose dignity and lives were violated.
In order NOT TO FORGET what increasingly appears to be a tragedy of immense proportions.
Secretary-General Michele Capasso thus addressed the women present and those connected via webinar:
"We want to dedicate this 8 March 2024 to the women victims of wars around the world who resist, who heal, who flee, who fight for life, who mourn, who stand against every war."

United States of the World supports International Women's Day at ICESCO

As part of the celebration of "International Women's Day" and the beginning of the month of Ramadan, the headquarters of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) hosted the Forum "Ramadan, Journey into the Depths of the Human Soul" on Friday, 8 March 2024: The United States of the World supported this initiative.
The event, which gathered high-level participation, was organised by ICESCO in collaboration with the "Group of Consorts of Arab Ambassadors and Heads of International Organisations" accredited to the Kingdom of Morocco.
In a speech recorded for the occasion, Dr. Salim M. Al-Malik, Director General of ICESCO, said that the celebration of women was unparalleled in meaning and values. In her remarks, Dr Yousra Bint Hussain Al-Jazairy, Group Member, paid tribute to women for all their generosity, patience and resilience, emphasising that ICESCO has given women the status they deserve. Dr. Al-Jazairy said that the spouses of ambassadors from Arab countries also direct their work to unite culture, promote knowledge and support humanitarian causes in a clear manifestation of the values of love and solidarity with the Moroccan people and each other. He concluded his speech by saluting Palestinian women as a symbol of steadfastness and empathy.
