On the occasion of the centenary of the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park, Secretary General Prof. Michele Capasso handed out the flags of the United States of the World to hundreds of young people: students, park volunteers, national civil service volunteers and others. "A sign of participation in the values of the United States of the World at a time when young people are entrusted with the task of saving the earth and ensuring peace," said the Secretary General.
The Fondazione Mediterraneo and SUM participated in the centenary celebrations of the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park by organising various events for this important occasion. In particular, the conference 'Education for Sustainability: a tool for the protection of biodiversity' was attended by the Secretary General Michele Capasso, Prof. Giuseppe D’Antonio, Prof. Massimo Pica Ciamarra and Prof Ferdinando Della Gatta.
The Secretary General, the President, the International Committee, the College of Ambassadors and all members of the United States of the World express deep condolences for the disappearance of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom. At the proposal of the Ambassadors and the International Committee it was decided to assign the title of "AMBASSADOR OF THE UNITED STATES OF THE WORLD TO MEMORY" to Queen Elizabeth II.
The award ceremony of the "Mediterranean Award Diplomacy" to Ambassador Moez Sinaoui was held at the Farnesina. The award was presented by Senator Stefania Craxi, President of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Senate of the Italian Republic, and Prof. Michele Capasso, Secretary General of the United States of the World and President of the Fondazione Mediterraneo. Present at the ceremony were:

The International Committee of the United States of the World - at the proposal of members from several countries - nominated Prof. Abdelhak Azzouzi as Ambassador of the United States of the World. Secretary General Prof. Michele Capasso delivered the decree of appointment.
